I found a new trail to run on. It’s not beautiful, but it’s dirt, away from traffic, and off the street. The biggest problem is there are no lights so I won’t be able to run there in the dark on days I have to get up early. That’s okay tho, at least I know it’s there.

I woke up this morning to hear them say on the news that there were a few showers. I was a little surprised since the weather had been so hot and dry the last few days plus I was hoping to go for a run. Walking out the door I realized it was dry enough to run so I left. As I ran it started … just a little … enough to get me wet and to worry about my iPod and phone getting wet. Not enough, however, for me to turn around. It was short, but sweet and refreshing. The best part about running before the sun comes up is the opportunity to take pictures of the sunrise and this morning’s was a doozy. I don’t often take that opportunity but I was so glad I did. As I drove up to the foothills and turned the corner a fabulous sight greeted me…
