Bringing Out the Eyes

Photos No Comments

I ditched out on Frank’s class last night (sorry Frank!) to go to a Photoshop class and I thought I would share what I learned. It was all about making eyes pop – brightening, getting rid of the red, changing the color, adding reflections, etc. I was so excited about it that first thing this morning I forced my daughter into letting me use her eyes as a model so I could practice.

Here are the results:

If you want to know how to do this check out Jeffery Saddoris’ blog. He will be posting a video tutorial shortly. This took me about 10 minutes this morning so it is very easy… I promise.

Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?

Saying Goodbye

Inspiration, Photos 3 Comments

I just finished with a Photoshop Compositing class and thought I would share the results. We learned a TON – layer masks, blend modes, non-destructive dodging and burning, smart objects, and on and on. My final project is not perfect – I  probably should have picked a better background image to help the other figures stand out – but I am pretty happy with it.

I titled it “Saying Goodbye” -

To show all the work that went into it these are all the different elements…

It was a hard class, but I’m very glad I went. Definitely worth the frustration. Photoshop is huge, though, and I still have a long ways to go.
