Gallery Show
I was both thrilled and petrified to have my first gallery show open last Saturday night. It was in a little cafe in the Downtown Pomona Arts Colony, which was just perfect for me. As the opening got closer, I found myself getting more and more nervous about it. Did I choose the right images? Does the post-processing look okay? What about the frames? Will they look good framed? Then came the night itself. I don’t do well in crowds and I absolutely hate being the center of attention. I just wasn’t sure it was worth the stress! It ended up being not as bad as I thought. Actually, it was pretty good. When we got there before it opened and looked through the window. I could see all the prints hanging and, honestly, it was pretty amazing. To see photographs that you have taken hanging on a wall other than your own home feels really good. Seeing them hanging there and knowing it had all come together, I was able to relax and enjoy the moment. I was surprised, thrilled and flattered at all of the friends and family that came out to support me. That was almost more important to me than the show itself. I’m sure I will think and rethink of a million things I would have done differently but, all in all, I’m thankful for the opportunity it and now I can’t wait for the next one.

If you are in the Southern California area and want to go check it out it will be up through the month of April at N.Y. Delight in Pomona.
