Serendipity

When I go out to shoot (usually very early in the morning) I never know what I’m going to find. I usually end up driving around searching for empty lots, weeds, and overgrown areas. These are not easy to come by around here since they tend to build on every empty space or fence it off. Yesterday, though, I came across a huge empty lot with trees and green and an actual trail. I started walking, marveling at how quiet it was. No one around, the sun just peaking over the mountains.

The sun made this gorgeous orange glow all around. I was tempted to just sit and enjoy the moment, but I knew the sun was moving quickly so I kept walking.

I was so glad I did because I came across this…

serendipity

Such an unusual thing to find in the middle of suburbia. You can see the houses in the background. It was my little piece of serendipity for the day.
