Art and New Floors

I went with Jeffery today to check out his new apartment. They had new floor put in… took out the carpet to put in the Pergo laminate. I’m trying hard not to be jealous, but it looks so good.

It’s going to be so much easier to take care of too. When I walked up there and saw the guys working on it all I could think about was this painting:

This is probably one of my favorite paintings ever. It is by Gustave Caillebotte. I saw it for the first time in the Musee d’Orsay and I remember not wanting to leave it. I could have stood there for hours. There is something so powerful about it. It is full of energy and emotion. Seeing it on the computer screen really does not do it justice. I think I need to win the lottery so I can buy it… or just find an apartment with wood floors.
