Steven

I reconnected with an old friend a few weeks ago on Facebook (one of the wonderful things about social media). She happened to mention her son, Steven, was getting ready to graduate this year and was wanting some senior portraits taken. It seemed so strange to me that he could be ready to graduate already since I think he was about 12 or 13 the last time I had seen him. I was really looking forward to it, though, and was so excited that she asked me to do it. We had a great time… we took him out to the Arts Colony in Pomona and made him stand in a lot of seedy alleyways (not really, but it does make for a better story). Steven was very very patient with us as we drug him from one place to another. It was great to see what a terrific young man he has become, and a very talented musician as well.

  • Great stuff, Nikki. I especially like the last picture of Steven’s fingers on the violin; nicely lit. I actually played the violin for eight years when I was a kid.

  • Yes, that last photo is really awesome. Love that area of Pomona, it’s amazing what a good location can bring. ;)

  • These are very unique senior portraits…. photos that capture him but also who he is. Really good job!

  • Thank you, Nikki! I have the close up in an 11 x 14′ framed in our entryway, the violin in a 5×7′ and one of the black and whites (wearing his vest) in an 8×10′ on the mantle. They look great!!
