My Garden

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted updated photos from my balcony garden experiment. During the spring I realized I missed having home-grown tomatoes and decided to do something about it. I came across these “Topsy-Turvy” planters and got hopeful that I found a solution. Turns out… I did! I have had more tomatoes than I know what to do with the past two weeks.

I was a little bit pessimistic about the zucchini coming in considering they are not very large containers, but it seems to be working as well. They are not as big as you would get growing them in the ground, but it works for me.

And it wouldn’t be a real garden for me without flowers to look out at.

I also have a visitor in my garden… she was a bit camera shy. Although it could have been the water I sprayed on the web to get it to show up for the camera.

  • I think the colors are off on your Nikon. Your reds have gone green… ;-)

  • You know, I was wondering about that. I should have asked for your expertise when doing color correction! :P

  • Oh, don’t ask him…he’ll just call me to do it. :)

  • haha, ouch! Something about a saturation layer, than slide a thingy, til it all turns purple, than flatten
