Saying Goodbye

I just finished with a Photoshop Compositing class and thought I would share the results. We learned a TON – layer masks, blend modes, non-destructive dodging and burning, smart objects, and on and on. My final project is not perfect – I  probably should have picked a better background image to help the other figures stand out – but I am pretty happy with it.

I titled it “Saying Goodbye” -

To show all the work that went into it these are all the different elements…

Lady with Coat

Older Lady

It was a hard class, but I’m very glad I went. Definitely worth the frustration. Photoshop is huge, though, and I still have a long ways to go.

  • your composite was great! if you are as “beginner” as I am, then I’m even more blown away ;-) My composite.. the guys just didn’t blend in all that well. =(

    • You’re wrong… you did a great job. It was really hard work and, like I said, very frustrating. There were times I wanted to throw the computer out the window. I’m sure you can relate to that! :)

  • Wow … so cool! Love, love, love it. I have a “thing” for cemeteries, anyway, so I doubly love this. Very cool composite!
