Topsy Turvy

I had the best time photographing Curt Smith the other night. I am anxious to show photos, but they’ll have to wait until later this week. In the meantime, I thought I would show my garden. Last month in my post The Secret to Happiness I talked about finding a creative outlet. Although I love photography, and that is my creative outlet of choice, I also really enjoy gardening. You have to realize a couple of things… 1) I have a very small balcony 2) I am a horrible gardener. I decided this year to give it another go – I just can’t resist.  I planted flowers and some vegetables. I wasn’t sure about veggies on a balcony. There are only so many things that will grow in a container. I found  those “Topsy Turvy” containers, though, and so far so good.  They hang upside down from the roof… so cool! I have tomatoes, zucchini, and yellow bell peppers. Hopefully I won’t mess it up!

My tomatoes…

My flowers…

Gardening requires lots of water – most of it in the form of perspiration.
