Curt Smith at McCabes

I have to gush a little…Tears For Fears have been one of my favorite bands for a long time and a few months ago I got to go see Curt Smith (www.curtsmithofficial.com) at the shows he did at the Standard in Hollywood.  When I found out he was doing a show at McCabes,  I emailed his manager asking if I might be able to photograph the show. She said that although McCabes doesn’t allow photos during the show, I was welcome to come shoot the sound check. She even offered me a pass to the show (which, unfortunately, I had to turn down since I had to get home to the kids). I was told he would only do one, maybe two songs so I had to be prepared to get what I wanted and get it fast. Luckily he did about four songs, which were all amazing. His voice really is fantastic live. He was onstage for about 45 minutes. It was plenty of time for me to move around, climb chairs, stairs, etc. and get a lot of shots. I’m still busy looking through the photos, but wanted to get one up here today. There will be more to come!
Big thank you to Arlene, Afton, and, of course, Curt for letting this happen.
