Studio Shoot

I started an “Art of Posing” class this semester at the photography school. It is taught by Ramiro Gaytan, who is a well-known wedding photographer in So Cal. It is a difficult class for me because it pulls me out of my comfort zone – having to take photos and give instructions to models with a class of over 60 people watching. It’s not exactly my favorite thing to do. It’s good for me though. I forced myself to get in there today and ask questions and volunteer. I figure the more I do it, the easier it will get.

We were given one minute each to shoot with the studio lights which is SO not enough time and just made me even more nervous. I didn’t get the shots I wanted but I guess the ones I got are not too bad. You can see a couple more on Flickr.

  • Love the photos — and that last B&W is simply stunning.

My niece is at Brooks right now and is loving it. Where are you taking classes? You’re doing such a great job!
