Winter in California

Feb 6, 2009     No Comments    Posted in: Blog, Inspiration

Yesterday morning I went to back to the diner where I shot those photos a couple of weeks ago. I had to give them a few of the pictures (plus have some breakfast while there, of course). The waitress said she had seen the article about me in the paper and ended up not letting me pay. This would ONLY happen in a mom and pop diner – never at a chain. One of the many reasons we need to support these places that are disappearing. Where else do you get customer service like that? Certainly not Denny’s or IHOP. It definitely made my day.

After breakfast I noticed these trees in the parking lot of my complex. It’s only the beginning of February and yet signs of spring are showing up everywhere. I’m not sure I’m happy about that considering that up until yesterday most of the days this winter have been in the 80′s. Summer is going to come way too fast!
